This series consists of standard receipts issued by the State Treasurer for monies received for a variety of transactions including payment for taxes and payment for the redemption of lands from tax sales. These records are similar to the modern Certificates of Receipts and Disbursements created by the State Treasurer and scheduled under State Records Commission schedule S-8-28.
